How it will work
You live your day. Sotto quietly notes the words that were new to you, and gives them back at night.
Only the word you do not know is marked. One tap keeps it, with the sentence you heard it in.
One button translates the last sentence and adds a one-line grammar note. It always says where the translation came from.

No. Free live translation already exists on many phones and headphones. Sotto is for learning: it remembers which words you have heard and which you know, so you need less help over time.
Our rule is that no audio is ever saved. Sound is turned into text and not kept as a recording. Laws about listening near other people differ by country, so the app will remind you to tell people nearby and will suggest pausing in sensitive places.
We plan a free plan with limits and a paid plan. The price shown above is planned and may change. Joining the waitlist is free and does not commit you to anything.
We plan to start with Spanish, Italian and Norwegian, and add more later. Tell us which one you want in the form. That is how we decide.
